This past weekend, the Gufler Mansion hosted Tim DeZarn, lead actor in Buckshot, a movie written and directed by Josh Smith, one of Emporia's sons who makes a living creating films in Los Angles. Tim was a delightful guest as well as Josh and his entourage, many of which stayed with us in the mansion as well. The idea for the film having its midwestern premiere in Emporia began sometime ago and with the help of many energetic volunteers who also brought lots of other entertainment for the festival, it happened-and it was fun. We now count Tim and Josh as friends and look forward to seeing them again. Here is a signed copy of the movie poster-for proof!!
